Fann Mountains Trek
Five days of hiking through the mountain valleys and lakes of the Fann Mountains. Starting in Dushanbe, the route takes you to the remote village of Gazza and into the Khushtarita Valley, combining mountain trails and nights under canvas with time in small communities along the way.
About This Tour
This five-day trek explores a quieter part of the Fann Mountains. From Dushanbe, the road leads through the Anzob area and along the Zeravshan Valley to Gazza, a remote mountain village at around 1,700 metres. From here, the journey continues on foot into the Khushtarita Valley.
Over the following days, the trail passes Murgobi, Soya and Nahang lakes, summer pastures and the Bory Pass at approximately 2,800 metres. Two nights are spent camping in the mountains, with two further nights at a local guesthouse in Gazza.
Alongside the landscapes, the trek offers a glimpse of life in this part of the Fann Mountains, from small villages to families spending the summer on high pastures, tending livestock and making dairy products. On the final day, return to Dushanbe with a stop at the Rudaki Mausoleum in Panjrud.
